I don't know how many times the words let me run this by you have come out of my mouth – definitely more than I can count. Anytime I’ve come across something new, be it an opportunity or an obstacle, I begin to play around with ideas in my head. Inevitably, regardless of what the idea is, I end up sharing it with someone who can help provide insight into the situation.
While I would like to believe that I can solve all puzzles on my own, I know this is not true. I need to get perspectives from others to build upon my understanding in the moment. Having another perspective is important for a few reasons. One is to confirm my idea is either completely crazy or not crazy enough. The other reason is as an extroverted thinker, I need to process ideas by talking about them.
